How I Ended up Coming to China

As already mentioned on my welcome page,
coming to China was not a smooth journey for me.
Neither was settling. I then decided to take it upon myself
to help make the process easy for the next person.
I graduated on May 14th 2022, and two months later,
I got my first offer to go teach in Japan.
I was offered a job in Japan for August 2022.
My biggest dream of moving out of South Africa
had finally come to fruition, however,
I felt like it was too soon and
I hadn’t prepared myself
mentally, physically, psychologically
nor financially to make that enormous decision.
Which then led me to declining that offer.
I then came across more countries that wanted
native English speakers to teach.
After doing thorough research and
applied in different countries,
I then received offers in
South Korea, Australia, Germany, Columbia and China.
By November, I had to make a decision so that
I could get started with the documents process.
After careful consideration of factors like cost of
living, safety, and economic security,
I then finally decided to go with China.
It aligned best with the goals I had made for myself.
